Now the hard part

So much for maternal instinct. I thought it was a boy and yeah, I was wrong. (I know you must be shocked since I am seldom wrong) :P

Anyways now we have the impossible task of NAMING this person! We cannot agree on ANYTHING except Isabella. I like the name but not so much after I read its one of the most popular names this year. Rigo doesn't care but I don't want her to go to school with 800 girls with the same name.

I also like Audrina. Its not too popular. Its not even in our baby name book. Saw it on tv.

I really love Emma BUT someone does not agree.(Who does he think he is?!?)

Moving on....since my shower is a mere 3-4 months aware I felt the need to start registering yesterday :) (Hey didn't you hear? THREE MONTHS?! As you can see I don't have much time!) I went to Marshmallowkisses.com and registered. Its the cutest little store with a lot of crazy expensive crap that your baby doesn't need at all! Is that the greatest?! Lol. I tried to get a few cheap things (very hard there) and keep it short. We plan to register at babies r us for the things we NEED like bottles/diapers etc.

We'll I better get ready because I think were going to the Renaissance Fair today.

We went to Motherhood this weekend so I could get some pants. The woman gave us a free gift bag with our purchase. I forgot about it and opened it the next day. I told Rigo about it in the car today.....

ME: Oh, you know that gift bag we got at Motherhood?
RIGO: Oh yeah, what was in that thing?
ME: They gave us some baby lotion and a bottle!
RIGO: A bottle of what??
ME: Um a bottle!
RIGO: A bottle of what??!?!
ME: A BABY bottle!
RIGO: Oh!

*sigh*

TOMORROW!!!!

I am waaaaaaaaaaaay excited!! I have a sonogram tomorrow! I forgot when I went in to do the first trimester birth defect screening two months ago they had scheduled me for an appt for a sonogram. For diagnostics and also to determine the sex. They called me today to remind me of the appointment. So my appt is at 8:15am tomorrow!!!! They said they should be able to determine the sex by now. I am hoping to God that the kid isn't hunched in a corner with its legs crossed refusing to come out. They told me to have a sugary snack about an hour before so the baby will be moving around a lot during the sonogram. I am also suppose to drink about 3 truck loads of water before the sonogram so I think I will drink equal parts of sugar and water just to make sure we've got some movement :)

So THAT COMPANY called me AFTER I accepted a new position at a doctor's office. Oh well. At the doctor's office I'll be making $2 more an hour so thats not bad. I really like it. Its so hectic and busy that the day flies by. Plus they have good benefits.

I am happy to report that after only two visits to the chiropractor I can already notice a change. (thank you medical science, screw your physical therapy) I am sad to report that my insurance DOESN'T cover the visits so I've got to pay out of pocket :(

Man its nearly 11pm and I'm exhausted. For some crazy ass reason I actually stayed up to watch the basketball game. I'm not a sports person but the game was actually semi interesting. Cool that we won. Well its late...........

You know you live in the Barrio when.....

You go to Connie's Mexican Resturant (the place has been there for ages,best burritos ever!) and you see a sign that says "M****** L***** is banned! Call 911!" Its even sadder if you know this dude's brother. So I call my mom and find out what this guy did to get banned. Did he hold someone at knife point?! No. Did he rob the place?! No.

He tried to give them a hot check.

Obviously these people do not fuck around!

Now I've seen stores out east who will display the bounced check by the cash register along with the "We do not accept checks" sign so everyone can see the asshole who ruined it for every else. But this is not the case on the north side!

The only currency accepted is CASH and don't you forget it!!!

Ok so my body is totally breaking down and I will be a slug come September when the baby gets here.... Had my first appt at the Chiropractor yesterday since the crappy physical therapy isn't working. They did some sort of scan on my spine. I have severe muscle tension in my lower back (uh you think doc?!) and surprise I also have a severe neck/spinal issue. This is our conversation.....

DOC: see this line down here represents the muscle tension in your lower back causing your leg problems. That red line means it is severe.
Also, are you having any neck pain?
ME: No
DOC: None at all?!?!!
ME: Noooooooooo
DOC: Well this line here indicates you have a severe problem in your neck as well. Your spine is going back wards.
(the physical therapist told me my spine was TOO straight and this is what he was talking about) Did you have any sort of trama? A severe car accident as a child?
ME: Nooooooooooo
DOC: Hmmm. We only usually see this sort of distortion after a trama. I'm surprised you aren't in pain.



So I have come to the conclusion that one of my parents must have beat me to the point of unconsciousness and this is why I have no recollection of this event. Hey it explains the trama :) So lucky me has 6 weeks of chiropractor appts, 3 times a week after I just finished 3 weeks of physical theraphy, 3 times a week.



In better news, I heard I got this position at a doc's office I was hoping for! Two more dollars an hour :) And PAID maternity leave.

In sadder news, I heard this person I use to work with back at Cox died this weekend. So crazy. I never really talked to him (sad since we were on the same team) but he seemed like a nice guy. I heard he has a daughter too. Nothing in the paper about it yet...
